Be Strong And Courageous

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.” These words were spoken to Joshua at a moment of overwhelming responsibility. Moses was gone, the wilderness years were ending, and the Promised Land stood ahead, along with battles, uncertainty, and challenges far greater than Joshua could overcome in his own strength.
Notice God didn't tell Joshua to be strong because the path would be easy. He commanded courage because His presence would go with him.
Biblical courage isn't the absence of fear, but obedience in the presence of fear. It's choosing to trust God when the future is unclear, circumstances are overwhelming, and your own strength feels insufficient.
The Lion of Judah still goes before His people today. He remains sovereign over every battle, every uncertainty, every closed door, and every impossible situation in your life. Whatever lies in front of you today, remember the rest of the verse: “Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
Be strong and courageous.

Tired of Waiting for the Breakthrough

Then Judah said, “The strength of the laborers is failing,
and
there is
so much rubbish that we are not able to build the wall.”
Nehemiah 4:10 (NKJV)

Every day, I coach women who are chasing a God-given dream. And earlier this year, I noticed something happening in their hearts that broke my heart a little.

Some of the excitement they had when they first started … had faded. Life crowded in. For some, progress felt painfully slow. I could see the discouragement creeping into their hearts one by one, that quiet voice whispering, Maybe this wasn't really my calling after all. Maybe I can’t do this.

Perhaps you know that voice. Maybe it whispers about a ministry you’re building, a relationship you’re fighting for, a career change you’re stepping toward, or a health journey you’re persevering in. Maybe there’s a dream God placed in your heart that now feels more like a burden than a blessing.

Can I tell you what I’m learning? This is exactly where breakthroughs happen. Not at the exciting beginning. Not when the passion is fresh and the possibilities feel endless. In the messy, unglamorous middle, where the rubble is piled up and progress is hard to see.

It's like in Nehemiah 4 when God’s people were rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem. It was a God-ordained mission, and they started strong. They were thrilled to be a part of this important purpose. But partway through, something shifted.

Nehemiah 4:10 says, “Then the people of Judah began to complain, ‘The workers are getting tired, and there is so much rubble to be moved. We will never be able to build the wall by ourselves.’”

Not just the enemies outside the wall but the rubble within discouraged them. The accumulation of hard days, slow progress, and exhaustion made them question everything.

But Nehemiah reminded them of the vision. He repositioned them and told them to keep building. One stone at a time. Until 52 days later, the wall was finished (Nehemiah 6:15).

Whatever God has called you to, He hasn’t changed His mind because it got hard. He will bring it all to fruition in His timing. It may not feel easy, exciting, or certain, but when you choose faithfulness over feelings and keep showing up anyway, God doesn’t waste your obedience.

Every hard step, every act of courage when you want to quit, every prayer whispered through exhaustion … He’s using all of it. He's building something in you that’s bigger than you can see. He’s preparing you for something you can’t even imagine right now.

Momentum isn’t built on giant leaps. It's built on faithful steps taken one at a time.

You’re closer than you think. And whatever wall you’re building is worth finishing.

Lord, remind me today that You haven’t changed Your mind about what You’ve called me to. Give me courage to keep building - not because I feel ready or equipped but because I trust You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Seasons In Life

Some seasons in life feel heavier than we can bear. They press on our hearts and stretch us in ways that leave us exhausted, unsure, and overwhelmed. Paul understood this when he wrote in 2 Corinthians 1:8-9 that he and his companions were under great pressure, far beyond what they could endure. He admits that the trials they faced were bigger than human strength alone. Even the most faithful of hearts encounters moments that feel impossible.
But here is the truth: God does not place us in these seasons to crush us. He allows them to teach us dependence, to draw us closer, and to deepen our trust in Him. When life feels unbearable, when our resources and understanding fail, that is when faith becomes real. That is when we discover that we do not have to carry life on our own. Hardship becomes a doorway to intimacy with God, a moment where His presence feels undeniable because it is all we have to lean on.
These trials are not meaningless. They are shaping your character, strengthening your patience, and cultivating courage in the places fear used to live. They teach you to trust Him when the way forward is unclear and to rest in Him when your strength is gone. What feels overwhelming now is preparing you for the victories to come. God is teaching you not defeat, but reliance, showing that even in weakness, His power is made perfect.

If today feels heavy, do not despair. Lean into Him. Be patient. Be brave. Let this season shape your faith and deepen your relationship with God. Even in the unknown, even in the struggle, His purposes are good, and His presence is faithful. The pressure you feel now is not the end of your story. It is shaping you, refining you, and preparing you for the life God has already planned, a life marked by trust, courage, and victory.

Faith Is...

We have this picture of the Super Christian who never doubts and never worries. We think faith looks like a superhero standing on a mountain with a chest full of confidence. So when we feel anxiety or dread, we think, I must not have enough faith
But that is a lie. The heroes of the Bible were not fearless; they were obedient. Moses stuttered. Gideon hid in a hole. Esther was terrified to go before the king. Even Jesus, in the Garden of Gethsemane, sweat drops of blood because of the weight of what was coming.
Faith is not about how calm you feel. It is about who you follow. It is the grit to say, God, I am terrified of this next step, but I am going to take it because You said so. The fear doesn't invalidate the faith. In fact, trusting God when you are scared is the deepest kind of faith there is.
So stop beating yourself up for being human. Let your hands shake. Just don't let your feet stop.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid... for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

God Walks Beside You

Some of the most important healing I have ever done happened in seasons where I could barely move forward. I thought I was failing. I thought I was too slow. I thought God was disappointed with me for not being the strong one.
But He didn’t rush me.
He met me in the middle of my shaking hands and tired bones. He walked beside me at the pace of my slow, trembling steps and called that progress. He whispered that every small breath, every tiny decision to keep going, every moment I chose Him instead of giving up was already a victory.
And maybe you need to hear that today. Maybe you are taking baby steps and calling them nothing. Maybe you are breathing through pain no one knows you carry. Maybe you are trying again after days where you felt like you were sinking.
God sees that as movement. God sees that as courage. God sees that as progress.
You don’t have to sprint for Him to stay. You don’t have to be unbroken for Him to love you. You don’t have to be healed for Him to call you His.
He will walk at the pace of your healing and never once shame you for the time it takes.
He will not let your foot slip. He who watches over you will not slumber.” - Psalm 121:3

Lord, Silence my worries...

Lord, silence my worries so I can hear Your voice.
My mind is so loud with distraction and fear, and I long to hear You clearly.
Silence the noise within me, the anxious thoughts that spiral, the fears that shout, the doubts that whisper.
Teach me to be still in Your presence, to quiet my heart enough to listen for Your gentle whisper.
I confess I often fill the silence with my own plans and solutions, when what I really need is to hear Your wisdom and guidance.
Help me create space in my day to sit with You, to wait for You, to tune my ear to Your voice above all others.
Remind me that Your voice brings peace, not panic; clarity, not confusion; truth, not worry.
Give me the courage to trust what You say, even when it asks me to let go of my need to control.
Let me find rest in knowing that You speak to those who listen, and You guide those who wait on You.
Amen

God Is With You

You may not understand why the burdens press so hard or why the world seems louder than your prayers. Yet God sees every tear, He hears every sigh, and He is gently holding you in His presence. Let your mind rest on Him, not on the chaos around you, for He is your peace.

Do not measure your worth by what you accomplish or how others respond to you. God loves you simply because you are His. Bring Him your confusion and your doubts and let Him whisper truth into your heart. When you feel small and insignificant, remember that He is working through you in ways you cannot yet see.
Take a deep breath and feel His Spirit breathe life into your weary soul. God is your refuge, your comfort, your constant companion. When you feel alone, He is closer than your next heartbeat. Trust Him with the parts of yourself you are afraid to show. Let Him transform your fear into faith, your sorrow into hope, and your doubt into trust.
Rest in His love today. You do not need to rush to fix everything or make sense of all the pain. He is enough for every moment and He is enough for you. Walk slowly with Him, trusting that He is guiding your steps even when the path feels uncertain. Let your heart stay tender and open, for His presence is your true home.
Life has a way of wearing you down. The days are long and the nights can feel even longer when you lie awake wondering how things will ever change. Yet God’s presence is not measured by the brightness of your circumstances or the ease of your path. His nearness is not dependent on what you do or how much you accomplish. He is present in the ordinary, the mundane, the unnoticed moments. When you pour a cup of coffee, when you fold laundry, when you take a quiet walk outside, God is with you. When you feel invisible, when the world seems to pass by without notice, God is noticing. Every heartbeat, every breath, every tear is precious to Him.
You do not need to carry everything on your own. The world tells you to be strong, to hide your pain, to keep going no matter how heavy the weight feels. But God calls you to something different. He calls you to rest in Him. He calls you to come as you are, not as you think you should be. He calls you to trust Him with what you cannot fix and to surrender the parts of yourself that feel broken or unworthy. This is not weakness. It is courage. It takes courage to admit that you are not enough on your own to place your burdens in God’s hands and to allow Him to lead you through uncertainty.

Don't Let Fear Stop You

There is something powerful about choosing to keep going even when fear whispers what if you fail. We all face those moments when the path ahead feels uncertain, when doubt grows louder than faith, and when the weight of possible failure feels heavier than the promise of success. But God never called you to a life ruled by fear.
The truth is that courage is not the absence of fear, it is moving forward in spite of it. Think of Peter stepping out of the boat in the middle of a storm. He did not wait for the waves to calm before he trusted Jesus. He stepped out while the water was still wild because his eyes were on the One who never fails. And though he stumbled, Jesus did not let him sink.
God is not asking you to be fearless, He is asking you to be faithful. Even when your voice trembles, even when your knees shake, step out anyway. The same God who called you out onto the water is the One who will sustain you when it feels like you are about to drown.
When fear says you cannot, faith says God can. When failure threatens to define you, remember that the only true failure is never trying. Every time you take a step of faith, you are proving that God’s strength in you is greater than the fear around you.
So go ahead, try again. Dream again. Believe again. You might be scared, but you will not back down because you know who stands beside you. - Ellie Mont
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1:9

The Courage to Keep Going

I have had wins and I have had losses, but it’s the losses that shape me the most. Wins are moments of celebration, but losses are moments of transformation. Wins make you proud, but losses make you strong. It is in the losses that you discover who you are when everything else is stripped away. It is in the moments when you fall that you learn what it means to rely completely on God.
When everything falls apart and nothing goes as planned, courage begins to grow. Real courage is not loud or flashy; it is quiet and steady. It is the decision to get back up when your heart still aches. It is choosing to believe that there is still purpose even in your pain. It is whispering to God through tears, “I still trust You,” when you don’t see the way forward.
God uses losses to make us brave. They humble us, they break our pride, and they teach us dependence. They show us that our worth is not in our wins but in His love. Every time you get up after falling, you are declaring something powerful. You are saying that your faith is stronger than your fear, that your story is not over, and that your hope is anchored in something greater than what you see.
Losses hurt, but they are not wasted. God never lets your pain go unused. Every loss is a lesson. Every disappointment carries a seed of purpose. Every setback can lead you closer to Him if you let it. What the world calls defeat, Heaven calls development. God is building strength in you that success alone could never create.
Think of the stories in Scripture. Joseph was betrayed and forgotten before he became a ruler. David spent years hiding in caves before wearing a crown. Peter denied Jesus before preaching to thousands. Even Jesus Himself faced the cross before resurrection. The path to glory always passes through pain. The heroes of faith were not made by their victories; they were made by their perseverance.
The courage to keep going comes from knowing that God is not finished with you. He takes the pieces that life breaks and turns them into something beautiful. What feels like an ending might be the foundation of your next beginning. God specializes in turning loss into purpose, tears into strength, and failure into testimony.
So when you lose, do not lose heart. Sit with the pain, but don’t let it define you. Let it teach you, let it mold you, and let it draw you closer to the One who never lets go. Every time you rise again, you are proving that grace is greater than defeat. You are living proof that God’s strength shines brightest in weakness.
If anything makes us heroes, it is not that we never fall. It is that we never give up. The bravest people are not the ones who never lose, they are the ones who keep going when they do. They are the ones who walk with God through the valley and come out with faith that cannot be shaken.
Keep standing. Keep trusting. Keep believing. Because the God who stood with you in the loss will be the same God who walks with you into victory. One day you will look back and see that it was the losses that made you strong, that it was the pain that built your faith, and that it was the falling and rising that made you brave enough to carry His glory.

Believing God Is Protecting You

Sometimes faith asks us to trust in what we cannot see. Believing that God is protecting you is not always easy. Life can feel heavy, chaotic, and even frightening, and it’s natural to wonder if anyone is truly watching over you. But God’s protection is real, even when circumstances suggest otherwise.

To believe that God is protecting you is to rest in His presence, knowing that nothing escapes His notice. It means trusting that He is guarding your heart, mind, body, and spirit. Even in moments of uncertainty, God is creating a hedge around you, keeping harm at bay and guiding your steps. His protection may not always look like we expect. Sometimes it comes as closed doors, quiet redirection, or the subtle courage to endure trials.
Faith in God’s protection doesn’t remove challenges, but it changes how you face them. Instead of living in fear, you walk in the assurance that God is with you. You find peace in the storms, strength in weakness, and courage in the unknown. Trusting God’s protection is an act of surrender, choosing to believe His promises over your doubts.
When you feel vulnerable, remember the Scriptures: “The Lord will keep you from all harm; He will watch over your life” (Psalm 121:7). Let these words sink into your heart. Meditate on the ways God has been faithful before. Reflect on the unseen ways He shields, guides, and provides.
Believing God is protecting you is an ongoing choice. It is a declaration of faith in the midst of life’s uncertainties. It is a reminder that no matter what comes your way, God’s eyes are on you, His hands are holding you, and His heart is devoted to your safety and well-being.
Surrender your fears. Trust His timing. Rest in His care. You are never outside of His protection, and His love is unwavering.

You Are Not Alone...

Maybe what you need right now isn’t to have all the answers or to force yourself to be okay. Maybe what you need is just to survive this moment. To take one breath at a time. To be honest about the pain instead of pretending it’s not there.

It’s okay if all you can do is admit, “This hurts more than I can carry.” That honesty is not weakness, it’s courage. You don’t have to fix everything today. You don’t have to see the whole path forward. You just have to make it through this breath, this heartbeat, this small piece of time.
And in that space, know this: you are not alone. Even if you can’t feel God right now, He’s closer than you think. And being real about your pain doesn’t push Him away, it draws Him near.
So let yourself be here, as you are. Not okay, but still breathing. Still here. And that is enough.
