Devotionals

Jesus explains the importance of the Word of the Lord by saying: “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’  (Matthew 4:4). Simply being a follower of Christ is not enough to live a complete life. You must be constantly growing in your understanding and in your connection to God. Even if it’s only a few words when you have the time, it will make a difference. Can you survive on a church service a week? Maybe. But you won’t be living the best possible life,

Devotions could mean reading a few verses of the Bible when you wake up in the morning. Or you could find a few minutes in your day to sit alone and pray, to talk to God. There are many devotional programs (via internet search, or your favorite bookstore) designed to guide you through daily time with God.
Whatever you choose, remember: You don’t have to have an entire church service by yourself. There is no pressure with God. He doesn’t care about fancy shows. He just wants to be with you. The most important thing is to spend time every day focused on God, as if He were any other friend you need to give your attention to in order to get to know better and grow closer to.
