Faith and Perseverance

Your faith and perseverance through intense trials are truly incredible. I can only imagine how heavy this season must feel. Fighting battles you never asked for. Carrying burdens that feel unbearable. Waking up each day knowing you still have to show up for people who need you, even when you feel worn down to your core. And yet, despite everything pressing against you, you are still standing.
That matters more than you realize.
There are seasons where survival itself is an act of courage. Where simply staying faithful, staying kind, staying present takes more strength than anyone else can see. You may not feel strong. You may feel stretched thin, exhausted, and unsure how much longer you can keep going. But heaven sees what you carry. God sees the weight you hold and the tears you hide and the prayers you whisper when words are hard to find.
You did not choose this trial, but you chose to trust God in it. You did not ask for this pain, but you are allowing God to meet you in the middle of it. That is not weakness. That is faith in its rawest, most honest form. Faith that shows up even when the outcome is uncertain. Faith that keeps walking even when the road feels endless.
Your perseverance is not accidental. It is evidence that God’s hand is steady on your life. Evidence that you are being sustained in ways you cannot fully see yet. God is strengthening you day by day, breath by breath. Even on the days when all you can do is keep going, that is enough.
You are not failing because you feel tired. You are not falling behind because you need rest. You are human, and you are held. God is not disappointed in you for struggling. God is near you in the struggle.
So keep standing. Keep trusting. Keep bringing your honest heart before God. This season does not define you, but it is shaping you. And one day, you will look back and see that you were never carrying this alone.
Your endurance is a testimony. Your faith is seen. And God is not finished with your story.

Jesus Wants You To Know...

"Don’t waste your time thinking about how things should have been. Don’t try to run away. Start right this minute - accepting things exactly as they are - and search for My way through your challenges. Learn to look for the blessings and the opportunities I have hidden in those difficulties. Trust Me and lean on Me."
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. - Proverbs 3:5–6 (NKJV)

Prayer: Rest and Restoration

Father God, I come before You in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ. I thank You for sustaining me through every season, both the joyful and the painful. You have carried me when I was weak and remained faithful when I felt uncertain. Today, Lord, I ask You to quiet my heart and calm my mind. Teach me how to truly rest in You and not strive in my own strength. Remove every heavy burden, anxious thought, and inner struggle that weighs me down and steals my peace. Help me to trust You fully, even in areas where I struggle to let go. I release control into Your hands and surrender every concern to You. Restore my soul where it has grown weary, heal the places where I have been wounded by disappointment or loss, and renew my strength where fatigue has set in. Fill me with Your perfect peace and remind me that You are my Shepherd, my Provider, and my Protector, and because of You, I lack nothing. I receive Your rest and restoration today. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen.

Meme: The Anchor of Our Souls

Securely Anchored When Life Feels Unsteady

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast,
and which enters the Presence behind the veil,
where the forerunner has
entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest
forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
Hebrews 6:19-20 (NKJV)

My daughter and I were recently hiking at Yosemite National Park, one of our favorite places to see God’s creation on display. From the valley floor, glorious granite cliffs rose up all around, and we passed some climbers who were scaling one of the epic rock faces. Although the climb looked precarious and we were awed by their courage, we also trusted they were safe because we could see their harnesses.

They were strapped in and tied to an anchor, a secure point of attachment on the rock. Four carabiners (metal fasteners) were clipped into the anchor and connected to ropes securing each person’s harness.
Climbers can trust their anchor to hold them in place. While there is a stretchiness and give to the ropes, allowing climbers to move around, the anchor remains strong and immovable.
The same is true of a ship’s anchor, which is what the author of Hebrews had in mind in the first century when he wrote to encourage believers not to abandon their faith:
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. (Hebrews 6:19-20).
Several keywords are worth paying attention to in this passage, including "strong" and “trustworthy.” These are descriptions of our hope in Jesus. He is steadfast, stable, and secure.
When we are clipped into Him, like those rock climbers connected to their anchor, we can have confidence in His strength. When we spend time with Him, praying and talking to Him regularly, we can see how He is trustworthy.
Are you feeling uncertain about a big decision? Waiting on a diagnosis? Maybe you have had a rough month financially or you are feeling anxiety about this week’s headlines. Jesus is the secure anchor who can hold you in place. Through His sacrifice on the cross, we have direct access to our Father in heaven.
Scripture serves almost like the carabiner keeping us connected to our Anchor. When we read the Bible, we are reminded of truth and cling to hope. We can also stay tied to the community of believers who help us remain tethered to Christ.
Jesus came to earth to be our “High Priest” (Hebrews 6:20), reconnecting us to God our Rock - and He holds us steady even when we are climbing uphill.

Dear God, You are the Rock of Ages, the firm Anchor we can trust. Help us stay close to You. Provide a community of friends to hold us accountable and encourage us to abide in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
